Digital ticketing is now available for Season Card holders in Blocks 15-20 of the North Stand, ahead of our next home match against Birmingham City.

It’s secure, fast and easy to use – you simply download your Season Card to your mobile phone or other digital device. Powered by Near-Field Communication (NFC), it uses the same technology which is already widely in operation elsewhere in day-to-day life, such as contactless payments.

A digital Season Card only needs to be downloaded once, and can then be used in the same way as a physical card, tapping it to the scanner as you enter the turnstiles on matchday. You can also download multiple digital Season Cards to one device, for example if you have children that attend the match with you.

Existing physical Season Cards will remain activated, and can continue to be used should a supporter not wish to opt-in to digital ticketing.

Can't believe the evil beasts are still forcing us to get those digital tickets, and not allowing us to opt out, eh Redlips ?

There will be a lot of support on hand around the turnstiles in the north east corner of the ground. Only those blocks near the North Stand ticket office - not the blocks that are closer to the East Stand.
Basically they email or write to everyone affected to make sure they all know in advance of the game. There will be signs and staff to help.

Ive had my digital ticket from the start of the season and its not worked on any game, I have to use my plastic card.
I did email the ticket office and I was prepared to go along to the club and trouble shoot the problem to help others alomg the way.
Guess what no reply.

Opposite for me. Had digital ticket from the start of season (moved seats) so no plastic card. Worked perfectly every game and for free drink👍

Message me Kev and I will make contact with them for you

That's great they making it an option and gradually people will adopt to use it initially the club sounded very blunt you must use it. I think the option for this on individual match tickets will be where it will be end up being mostly used and save the club the most money in postage

I think certainly with new ST sign ups they will automatically be digital, unless there’s a good reason for them needing a physical ticket.

And for new season tickets.

I am sure some fans will love having the season ticket on their phone and are the same people who pay for goods with their phone. They appreciate the convenience of just having one physical item. However they probably still represent less then 50% of the population, who use cards or cash. There should be equal choice.

Err it has, you simply filled a form in to opt out
Nope. They said you could opt out, but they never said what form the opt-out would take (e.g. is it the physical card, is it paper tickets sent out for each game, do you need to go to the ticket office, etc) or how permanent it is.

This is the first time they have explicitly and publicly said people can keep their card.

If they'd communicated this at the start - as many of us repeatedly asked them to do - then so much of the fuss and negativity towards digital ticketing could have been nipped in the bud

I understand it's an opt-in by downloading your Season Card onto your phone via apple/android options otherwise you continue to use your physical season card?
