Just Got Back from Wellington Phoenix Game

Love Wellington, lucky to have stayed there 3 times, always at the Bolton Hotel.
It‘s a long walk up the hill to the Met Office, but worth it once you’re up there. Came back down on the cable car, it’s a lovely vista over Wellington harbour.

Was a great game. The Yellow Fever only take their shirts off at 80mins if the Nix are winning (swing when you're winning). Hoping to see the game in Auckland this weekend if I can swap my shift...

Just a bit of background for those who may not know, but The Wellington Phoenix (A New Zealand-based team) play in the Australian A League. But for the past two seasons they have been based in Australia and played all their games there. If they didn't it would make the A League very hard to have been completed.
But with a travel bubble now open between NZ and Aus (which means no staying in managed isolation for 14 days) the Nix have come home for a couple of games, the first of which was last night.
The Nix players and their families have made huge sacrifices these past two seasons to keep the competition going and it's great to see them have a couple of games back in NZ, as the big crowd last night showed.
Hopefully can have proper home and away season next season.
And you'll find the Nix are the second favourite team of most Kiwi Boro fans...
