Sons U10 team, their best player has threw a massive strop and quit the team.

Because he was subbed with 10 mins to go in a friendly game last week. Stormed off immediately after the final whistle, never to be seen again 😳😳

Serious stuff this junior football.

So if there are any U10s out there who are extremely good, control the midfield, get stuck in and score for fun.......there might just be a club looking out for a player like you 👍😁

If that's his attitude the team is better without him. No matter how good he is 👍🏻

I would sit them all down and explain how it is a team game and everyone will get game time and sub time. I would explain what is expected from each player regarding attitude on and off the pitch and without naming or directing criticism directly toward the player who left, I would use his behaviour as an example.

Coach has already said this. She doesn't want him back - attitude goes against the club ethos.

Proud of the players too - they don't give a sh*t . Couple of them really raised their game today, kind of stepping out of his shadow so to speak.

The players totally get this. Every one of them. They know there are 9-10 players, and bar the keeper they will be getting subbed off at some point. Absolutely great bunch of lads, very supportive of each other despite only knowing each other since January.

The club has very strict rules about playing the game fairly, equal game time etc. and it's great to see them applying them.

he's u10.. emotions are tough to, filter, at that age.. he may have been on a mental tightrope after forgetting his 'lucky boots', putting his jumper on back to front or got all flustered & doesn't know why when he saw Stacy's mum.. ;-) ..getting subbed off was the straw that did for him..
