Juninho left handed

I hated woodwork lessons at school - all the benches were right handed and I later found out all the tools. I thought I was just naturally rubbish at the subject, but later found out about left handed tools where the blades are cut in a different way. With the benches I tried using the vice in a right handed way, which is like a right handed person having to do things left handed. They are usually crap. Left handedness in that environment does knock your confidence. Luckily I learnt to write with my right hand or maybe more naturally inclined to write with my right hand, so I was not at a disadvantage in most subjects. At sport all the teachers I had were right handed so I had to try and convert what they were demonstrating. Some would try and demonstrate left handed but you could see they were struggling and not confident.

Luckily qwerty keyboards are designed slightly for left handed people (notice where letters e and a are) to slow down right handed people with early typewriters, the early typewriters could not keep up.

I have always thought left handed people are more creative, think more outside the box and with me it helped better understand others who have struggled, which helped me when working in specialist teaching.
