JOSH COBURN

He has been injured a lot in the last year but that sometimes happens to young players after growth spurts, especially big lads like Josh. This injury isn’t the usual muscle or ligament issue though so at least it’s not an inherent weakness. It may give him the chance to do some proper strength and conditioning in the gym to fully get over the muscle issues. It must be gutting for him though.

This must be so frustrating for him. One thing after another.

He's a decent striker. But currently he would be further from the 1st team than ever before if he was to come back. We really needed him to get a run of games and bang in a few goals this season whilst out on loan.

He's a big heavy lad, that puts a lot more stress on his joints, ligaments and muscles as he turns or lands from a jump. He'll need to make sure certain parts of his body are stronger to avoid injuries. It's unlikely to be the cause of this injury but could be related to some of the others.

You can’t really say getting his foot stood on makes him injury prone
No you can't, read through the last several years of his developing career, say what you see then, I have been following him because I think if he can get a good run at any 1st team then he has so much potential.

What I am.hoping is has been suggested above, he's still fairly young and his body is still adjusting and he is picking up injuries as a result.

If he gets fit again in late Jan/early Feb, still plenty left in the season to prove himself. Obviously unlucky with injuries so far in his career, but still young enough to bounce back. Be interesting to see what happens with him next year. I guess a lot will depend on where we are and where Carrick is.
