It does make you wonder what goes through the mind of all these players from the likes of Kilmarnock, Dundee United, Motherwell etc who are swept up by Celtic and Rangers after making their mark, and and then dumped 18 months later when they're not deemed to be good enough

There's definitely a good player in there somewhere and I don't think Gerrard gave him a fair crack of the whip after he kicked out in the derby. He had looked good when I had seen him especially in Europe. However, I don't think a move home would be the best thing for him at all - being away from home at Killie saved his career. If he can get a Championship club he should snap their hands off and prove himself.
