I’d look to give him another deal, he just gets better and better and better. Without him we wouldn’t function I don’t believe and it’s going to cost us a lot of money to replace him.
Yep! Gets better with age. He is worthy of a deal no matter what happens and I’m pretty sure he will get oneHe has got better and better as each year with Boro has gone by (for me), an extremely vital player that brings so much to how we play. He is a calming influence on the younger players and leads by example, which is why he has his Academy ambassador role. I hope he stays with the club whenever time is called on his playing days as, like Grant Leadbitter, he will have so much to offer as we progress. He is without doubt the clubs Peter Pan and deserving of a new playing contract.

14 league games in 6 years.... That's a statYep I'd sign him up now regardless of division.
He has really looked after himself, the oldest player in the squad and the most league starts (and has played every league game).
In 6 years, he has missed 14 league games for us (and played 254 games)
How many of the 14 were due to suspension? I can’t remember him ever being injured14 league games in 6 years.... That's a stat
Yes I'd like to see that whole move, highlights only show the final passes. I will confess that I let out a gasp as Steffen played the ball to him with someone right behind him. He flicked it round the corner to Hackney and played 3 of their players out of the game. From being our deepest player some how he ended up playing the ball into Chuba on the edge of the box. Brilliant game yesterday.I always think that boro play well if Howson plays well, he has that much influence on the team.
He was fantastic for our critical first goal yesterday, both in beating their press on the edge of our box and then his involvement in the goal itself.
