And if an English Politician were to do it, it would be written off as “banter”…I wonder if the successive SNP Scotland First Ministers, Salmond, Sturgeon and now Humza Yousaf, will be the first to be charged with "Hate" after their personal attacks on Westminster, Prime Ministers, Ministers, and everything that is English.

Does that matter? Just because the Bill will be criticised by those whose views we violently disagree with, doesn’t make it right.Last gag is a belter.
I can only think that, for every Pie, there must be a 1000 right wing equivalents.
You may be OK on Tories - there's a defence of 'reasonableness'.This law does seem to be coming from a good idea. But most people who have looked at it, like me, see it as the thin edge of a very dangerous wedge.
In my case, I could be imprisoned for what I say about Tories. I literally hate them and openly encourage others to do so. This law could easily be bent to prosecute me.
I have a strong belief that very few people deserve to be prosecuted for what they say.
There is saying and there is doing.
Have a day off!The tories are mostly universally hated, I don’t think calling them scum, ***** or anything else would stand up in a court.
If anything the tories should be the ones in court.
Are you not angry about what the tories have done to all of us? Those who couldn’t say goodbye to loved ones dying or attend the funeral during covid yet they were partying? The financial ruin of our country? Brexit? The freezing of our elderly? The starving of millions of children? Food banks?Have a day off!
Are you sure you aren’t a Tory?Have a day off!
