Young lad signed from Sunderland. A really hot prospect is this lad. Knows where the goal is. Would be a great loan signing for us. Potentially more realistic than some of the South American signings we appear to be chasing.

I hope we try and get this lad - and Delap- in.

Not saying it would happen if we sign this lad or delay but I always have a bad feeling about signing young strikers. Nmecha and Nimely spring to mind.

Although Bamford was a huge success. I do think Delap looks a talent mind

To me strikers are the biggest gambles of any possible signings - mainly due to the fact they are signed with the expectation of doing one thing - scoring goals.

Whilst South American’s may be exciting there is no guarantee young ones will either settle or adapt. I would prefer us taking such a risk of a home based striker- young, hungry and open to development.

It's very very rare you can pick up an 18-19 year old out of Prem academy/ U23s and stick them in sat - Tues - sat and they do well.

It's such a massive leap in terms of CBs they will be facing. Its all well and good scoring 30 goals in 25 for games for an academy. It's almost like a practice match and hardly any tackling and no crowd.

Bamford did well. Although he actually came from forest for a few quid (despite Chelsea often saying he's one of thiers).

Tammy Abraham did well at Villa but a bit more developed and had a loan or 2 under his belt.

I would rather we brought in another champo/prem forward who's been around the block. I guess maybe a young forward from the prem as a 3rd option on loan.

Age (maturity) is an important factor with younger players. Bamford was 21 just after joining us in 2014/15 season following a decent spell in league 1 and also a half season at Derby, He had far more league experience than some of the kids mentioned above. They need to be allowed to make mistakes and learn. In a team wanting promotion, i am not sure they get that allowance and freedom of experience to grow.
