Joan was made a dame at 81 years old. Joanna is only 73 (only?) so she’s got time.

Joanna Lumley was fated for a Damehood in 2009 after the Gurkha triumph. So what happened. If anybody doesn’t think the honours system is politicised then this reflects the fact that they probably are.

2009 Lumley is widely tipped for a Damehood. Cameron gets into power. She doesn’t get Her honour. Lumley is a lifelong Labour voter. She didn’t vote for Labour last year as a stand against Corbyn and anti semitism.

And as a footnote Joan Collins speaks out about Conservative alignment. She get her honour in 2015.

Maybe whoever decides watched her do that documentary with Will.I.Am a few years back. I've never been able to take her seriously since. It was one of the cringiest things I've ever seen.
