Jim White's last day on Sky today

I made a decision a number of years ago to de-tune TalkSport. Alan Brazil and Mike Parry being the main reason.

I'm quite ignorant to anything discussed about TS these days.
It's disappointing really because many moons ago it was actually good radio

Here's Alan Brazil trying to get off a drink driving charge. What a knobhead.

He has the flushed complexion of a drinker, probably high blood pressure also exacerbated by excess alcohol. His radio programme minimises the seriousness of this with the 'One of the lads I'm a drinker what a laugh' mentality. It's not a good role model for youngsters to listen to at all. The others on his programme encourage his behaviour. The whole thing is so unnecessary, perversely when the profession of football is forever spouting 'Know your limits' around addictions.

I can’t bear him on Talksport when he adores guests constantly hailing them and sounds practically on his knees licking their feet . It makes you want to spew .
Just talk footy without blowing them off 😘

To me Glasgow and it suroundings were almost the centre of football, working class, industrial, - Jock Stein, Alex Ferguson, crowds of 140,000 at Hampden. I'd hear a Glasgow accent and associate it with football. Bit by bit that influence has decreased. Sky used to have Charlie Nicholas and Jim White. Talk Sport had Alan Brazil - I suppose they do have Kris Boyd and Ally McCoist sometimes, but you feel Sky Sports is bit more London and English big city based now and wants to be more multicultural and muilt gender based. Commercially it probably is beneficial to appeal to as many people as possible and to me seen as modern and not stuck in say 1992.

Sky "We Are Premier-League" Sports
and
Talk "Premier-League" Sport.
Its clear where their commercial bread is buttered.
So much for fans "choice".
No wonder the kids think football is The Premier League(n)
