Jessie Joe Jacobs

It sure is, so why does she think its is acceptable to score cheap political points and be dishonest over something so serious.
So a few daft plates is scoring cheap political points and dishonest.. but MPs voting against making sure kids don’t go hungry is just fine and dandy?
It’s a total non story and I think folks need to screw their heads back on. Have a think about what our priorities are.

Who said kids going hungry is "just fine and dandy"? Certainly no one in this thread.

so it’s ok to be dishonest if it’s in response to a contentious issue?

she has been running a campaign to become the new tees valley mayor. Instead of playing the high ground and being morally superior with kind words and actions that might have actually helped some families... she has decided to reduce herself to the lowest common denominator... an action that now could cause untold damage to her campaign and her reputation.

Tory does it...massive scandal

labour does it... non story

so you would be comfortable voting for someone who has admitted to being dishonest?

If a Tory protested in any way shape or form the austerity that their party have enforced over the most vulnerable in this area I would be very surprised. WTF! is a very apt name for someone creating over a couple of plates. Pull yourself together man, take a long hard look at what you are doing and saying.

lets start a witch hunt for any lefty types with late library books and for those who have taped the top 40 off the radio. now lets get outside and clap for every public school boy who has sold off publically owned assets to his mate and spaffed billions of tax payers money towards shan companies that are not fit for purpose at the cost of tens of thousands of innocent lives.

you are insinuating it with your choice of action and are complicit with your failure to speak out against it.
You're simply wrong.

You stated you didn't see a problem and the problem was explained to you, as it was obvious you hadn't bothered to read the facebook conversation that was linked. I do agree it's a bit of a non-story and it certainly shouldn't be that children go hungry, nor should it be that Jacobs feels the need to resort to gimmicky stunts to convince a local MP to change his mind. She did though, and went about it the wrong way, deceiving a friend in the process. This doesn't reflect well on her at all, especially as she's vying to be elected to a position of trust in a few months.

I hope this clears things up and you wind your neck in. (y)

Perhaps recruiting a Tory voting friend wasn't the best course of action. What should folks do in your opinion to convince a local MP to change his mind?

I don't think Young would change. I think he's weak of mind and morals and will do as instructed by his Tory superiors whether he thinks the decision not to extend the FSM scheme was right or not.

Maybe not be dishonest for a start 🤷‍♂️

And you didn’t answer my question newy

The best way to get anyone to change their mind is to talk to them, sadly the local Tories, Clarke, Young and Vickers just block anyone who isn't on the same page as them.
