And what lesson would that be?

Because the board is probably as tame (and I mean that in a good way) as it's ever been.

It's never going to be perfect, but I've not seen anyone challenged to a fight in the car park at the southern cross for years.

I suspect most people who leave do so for a wide range of reasons. Most probably not really anything to do with the board.
 
Unless he was banned and posts were deleted, it doesn't look like he left in a mood.

Just suddenly stopped posting last month.

Hopefully he's okay, contributes loads to the board.

Was genuinely surprised not to see him raving when Payero returned yesterday.

Sadly the culture war, stoked by this government and RW media have a serious impact on the happiness of the nation. It's good to talk, and debate but with the lack of intellectual honesty and the stirring of hatred especially (but not exclusively from the far right) it breaks our society. I mean this place had it's feisty moments 10 years ago, but it was far less politically fractured and that goes across society in general. We need the adults back in the room in politics or our society will be well and truly trashed.

People leave or stay because they choose to, no lessons to be learnt in my opinion, people are exercising their choice. It would be good if some of the people who have stopped started to contribute again, but that's entirely up to them unless of course they are banned for some reason.

You are one of the most intolerant posters on here and probably have accounted for many people not posting anymore.
Remember when you wanted to start a song about our manager at the time (Neil Warnock) ‘being a c###’. The reason was because he had said ‘good old Boris’ in an interview.
Yes Mart, we could all learn from yourself about political tolerance.
(And before you start I have only ever voted Labour in my life).
 
I do find its getting very difficult to have a civilised debate. Quite a few posters appear intolerant of differences and seem to enjoy giving posters labels - right/left wing - remain/leave - if you are not in the correct gang you are treated with a lot of suspicion and sometimes open to undeserved abuse. The natural human reaction is do the same to fight back and everything becomes quite nasty emotionally.

Jedi has posted most on this Board and he/she has to second highest reaction score. That volume makes quite a difference. They also deserve a medal for long service in my opinion.

Just noticed this, you were on my block list for previous appalling behaviour on here.

No, I don't recall wanting to 'start a song', that was likely someone else, but I did think it was wrong for our manager to show party political support for any party and I'll stand by that sentiment, cheers.

I debate with integrity (seemingly unlike you) if anyone has a problem with that, it's their problem. I play the ball not the man. You don't have to agree with my views, no one does, but you can't accuse me of dishonesty in debates. If people can't tolerate honest open debate, can't give a logical and fair repost, that's on them.

Like everyone there are things I don't tolerate, the main ones are dishonesty and abuse. I don't back down to bully boys that are dishonest and abusive, I'll argue my stance until I realise they are just abusive people, then they go on the block list. So off you pop on the block list again, don't bother responding because I won't bother reading it.

If it wasn’t you wanting to start that song then I apologise and take it back.

However, have a read if that thread and tell me that opposing political views ( this time Neil Warnock’s) are well tolerated on here.
