Same with Dunford, but a north London twang, Both are excellent English folk acts, a kind of modern Billy Bragg, I'll never get sick of Dunford, his song writing is amazing, he puts it down to his depression.

Both lads very proud of there local upbringing , which is fair enough, but slightly ott in the lyrics. There's a young Glasgow lad on par with them , but can't remember his name ATM

Was support for James in Halifax and he was very good. A modern day scouse Billy Bragg. Like some of his songs too. My heart my city is anthemic.

Apparently they really dislike each other, too. Or more so Gerry doesn't like Jamie, seemingly refuses to speak to him because he believes he completely copied his sound (I think that's why anyway).
Also totally agree with this, too much of a scouse love in for me. Same as Sam Fender and the Geordies.

I like him, particularly Weekend in Paradise. Also discovered Dunford recently, who I’ve been listening to a lot, apparently he’s Linda Robson’s son (actress from Birds of a Feather). Gerry and Sam are also great too. I like people who are proud and passionate about their area and city.

Louis Dunford tickets just gone on sale ( see tickets and gigs and tours) for March 15th next year at the the Cluny in Newcastle next year( £15 a ticket with Fees)
