Jamie pollock and Simon Jordan

Didn't he pretty much say in his book that it was down to attitude? Like coming back constantly overweight hence why he was continually fined and eventually sacked?

Superb for the Boro, he shouldn't have left. He could dominate games as a kid, no problem. We threw him and Stampy up against Liverpool and won, and the pair were superb. Stamp must have been 17, Pollock early 20's.

Its obvious in the book Jamie was unprofessional at that period in his career , Jordan was peed off , totally understanable if your paying the wages ......& it did all go downhill for Pollock from there ?

He mentioned a private detective following him but didn't elaborate

As much as i loved pollock for the boro coming back 2 stone overweight in preseason for CP was pretty indefensible.

If you were the owner of a club and a player came back 2 stone overweight you would be hopping mad to be fair.

It's pretty much gross misconduct isn't it?

Would love player as good as Pollock (or stampy) to come through our academy now like.

Jamie was a superb coach when working with the kids at Polton All Stars - he really coached them well and you could see how much they respected and gained from his sessions. My nephew attended several times and Jamie really looked after him. At the same time Jamie nurtured his two sons Ben and Mattie to professional contracts. I have a lot of respect for him for his achievements in football and as a very good guy.
