All of these poor performances and shoddy goals conceded, its all part of a pretty genius masterstroke by the club.

Tread some water at the bottom of the table, take the heat out of the 'promotion' hype, string a few results together late October into November, plateau over Christmas lower mid table, one or two loans in January, building up a bit of momentum into February .....

THEN..................... BOOOOOOM

Full blown attack on the top six from Stoke away at the start of March.

FLASSSSSSSHHHHHH "what was that?" .... "oh don't worry thats the Michael Carrick promotion locomotion - too late to stop it b1tch!"
