All of these poor performances and shoddy goals conceded, its all part of a pretty genius masterstroke by the club.

Tread some water at the bottom of the table, take the heat out of the 'promotion' hype, string a few results together late October into November, plateau over Christmas lower mid table, one or two loans in January, building up a bit of momentum into February .....

THEN..................... BOOOOOOM

Full blown attack on the top six from Stoke away at the start of March.

Start playing well after Xmas, launch early bird season tickets, foot off the gas for the final month to avoid promotion. Sell all your best players for less than they are worth. Increase ticket prices. Start terribly and sack the manager.
