Well deserved but Turkey looked awful, whether it's due to Italy's quality we'll find out in the later stages.
Agree with this fellas. Just dying to my eldest how players used to be able to beat a man. Now it’s all about ‘overloads’ and ‘working through the transitions’…..a quality dribbler Best/Comfort could break through on their ownDribbling is my favourite thing, it's why Grealish would be the second name on my england teamsheet. You can have the best defensive shape ever but it counts for nothing if someone dribbles through your lines
Italy were solid. They will go far but, not being ageist, that defence could well struggle against the likes of France or Belgium. Not convinced by Italy
Not sure myself. If we play our strongest side, I’d expect us the break then down.Italy were solid. They will go far but, not being ageist, that defence could well struggle against the likes of France or Belgium.
I think they'd cope with England quite happily
Depends how we set up. We'd certainly give them a better game than Turkey I would think. But if we play slow build up like the last few games I don know. Rashford and Sterling might scare themNot sure myself. If we play our strongest side, I’d expect us the break then down.

Agreed, if Italy pushed three forwards up against our box from a goal kick, Pickford would pick them off with a 40 yard pass. They wouldn't dare play so high up the pitch either because if Mount, or Grealish or even Rice got on the ball we would probably turn them around with a ball in behind. I would fancy our chances against them, as long as we played 433, 343 they would pass through our midfield.Italy were solid. they were, but I think it was down to lack of ability rather than a mindset thing.Negative from the start to finish for Turkey.
