It’s now official boris is toxic

Nothing smells of panic more than a 5.30 am resignation letter. He’s fooked obviously, as the day and weekend (when MPs have to face their constituents) progress we’ll find out how fooked.

Susie Dent, as usual on the case.

“ Word of the day (again) is ‘stiffrump’ (18th century): a highly obstinate individual who refuses to budge.”
Here's one she posted in 2015. It sums up most of the cabinet

"Catchfart is an C18th insult for anyone who fawns and sucks up to you/the boss/your mother. The idea is they follow behind far too closely"

What I don't get with the Tories is their blind, slavish sycophantic following of Bozo. It's like a cult.
He has to go down an THE most untrustworthy, lying, narcissistic, corrupt PM this country has ever seen. He's dragging the Tories down and down, further down the sh*tter......but he's still there, the turd that won't flush.
Policies, political differences aside I just can't see how any Tory supporter, councillor, MP can back this useless get - surely the longevity of the party supersedes the personal ambitions of a useless leader? Any Tory supporters on here can shed any light as to why - serious question, no political arguments or disagreements.
Crazy, crazy times.

I don't get it either. Clearly the tories are not reading the nation very well at the moment. His cabinet are sticking with him because they want to continue drawing minesterial salaries as long as possible and a change of leader loses them their jobs.

The backbenchers... Who knows.

Using a football analogy, if the team is getting dicked every week, playing sh*t, sliding down the league (marooned in the relegation places) and supporters are leaving in droves who carries the can?
Manager.
What happens?
Sacked, no ifs, buts, maybes. Gone.

But not FC Tory Party.

Bozo gets rid of under performing players, replaces them with worse ones, then starts to pin the blame on the coaching staff for the bad results. But the results get worse, so the cycle continues.

But he remains.

It's a peculiar situation.......May was toppled for far less.

They support Johnson for the simple reason that there's 'no one else'. We could be in for a 97 style Tory collapse if we are really lucky, this time Labour need to ensure that this vile bunch is never able to regain power by introducing a form of PR, so that the majority relatively Liberal in this country aren't dictated to by a right wing cabal egged on by Farage and his little Englanders like Rees-Mogg etc...
