Yes, I’m still very much in the ‘let’s see how things go’ camp, I really hope he has turned a corner and becomes a double figure striker for us but we can’t bank on that.
 
I’ll hold my hands up, still don’t think we can rely on him for a full season but he does seem to have a fire in him I haven’t seen before.
 
It’s no real shock him scoring a few , I think Hel do any worse than sporar did last season . If he can get 7 this year it soon then be a bad contribution
 
Chuba may have been around a while, but he's probably just coming alive as a striker. At 26 years old, his body has maybe matured to the point that it could be lift off time-- the way that he leaped for that second goal it certainly looked like it!!
 
I knew we would see a different Chuba Akpom under Wilder. You don't get all the way through Arsenal's academy if you are not a good footballer and he was also in a very good England U21 team.

Imagine how he felt under Warnock - signed by him and then played in a hoof ball system that was not suitable for him at all. Then publicly criticised the way he was must have destroyed his confidence. I am really happy for him and hope that he's goes from strength to strength now.
 
Not sure, but I think he is in the last year of his contract. He's made a difference, and let's see if he can keep it up. He's definitely our no. 1 striker at the moment, so let's carry on supporting him. If he does, we'll be crying out for him to sign a new contract! Who would ever have thought that???
