I support vulnerable adults and one lad who I'd once supported had a sign on his flat door which had been handwritten by a staff member, stating "Please knock quitely".

It bothered me for ages.

The best sign I ever saw was from the 263 whilst going to the match in the 70's. Middlesbrough Council had paid off the park keepers some months earlier and in the flower bed that was set on an angle in the old cemetery next to Forbes Buildings, the bulbs popping up read B A S T A R D S.

I could picture the gardener putting in the bulbs and thinking 'I'll show them'. I think it is the only time Middlesbrough Council got its planning right.
