Is Paul Weller short of a few bob?

i would have thought Weller would have been fairly vocal against doing stuff like that.

He's spoken multiple times about his financial situation, in that he's well off but has multiple children all at different ages, as well as a host of ex-wives. If he was really skint he could re-form The Jam and make a fortune, but he'll never do that and I get the feeling he's quite comfortable with his life now, especially since giving up drinking.

He also has Black Barn to run as well as his house (Not sure he lives in Little Venice anymore, think he moved back to Surrey)

He doesn't need to reform The Jam, he's doing ok as it is. Tickets weren't cheap for his Globe gig but they flew off the shelves.

wonder if he doesn't own his own music so therefore could not prevent it being used on advertisements he is not in support of.

If he reformed The Jam he's be selling out stadiums and playing Glastonbury etc. He's doing alright, as he acknowledges, but he's not rich enough to stop working.

A tour with The Jam would probably allow him to retire forever.

I'd personally rather he reformed TSC, which would be much more likely anyway, given the lack of bad blood with Mick, Steve and DC.

I think Weller and Bruce are OK now, but Bruce and Rick have fell out.
