All the latest speculation seems to have been over Carrick - and now Catteramole - but has anything been said as to why Edwards is not seemingly favourite any more?

Nothing has been said officially mate, so nobody knows who's in the frame or not.

We’ve had Woodgate, Warnock and Wilder.. we are now looking at Corberán, Carrick and Cattermole.
It has been confirmed that Edwards does not start with a ‘C’

Is it just me that thinks it will Rob Edwards.. and was probably going to be Rob Edwards all along? He’s best mates with Kieran Scott.. Chris Wilder went a week after he was finished at Watford.
Carlos Corberan sounds like an easy name to put in there, he’s shouting from the rooftops that he wants a job back in the championship. Then we have Michael Carrick who has turned down jobs in the summer.. probably best to mention him because of Robson, McClaren & Karanka!
Finally Lee Cattermole comes into the mix over a week into the search, a little bit of dissatisfaction creeping in.. blown away by the prospect of a Cattermole./Agnew ticket.
Rob Edwards to be announced after Leo taking one for the team against Blackburn..
