I'm a veggie myself. True, there are some rubbish sausages on the market, Linda McCartney's being the worst, I'm sorry to say. Morrisons stocked a 'Like Meat' variety until recently that were quite nice.

im not veggie (used to be) but I do love a Sainsbury’s Shroomdog

Richmond veggie sausages all the way scrumptious with mash gravy & beans also try little willies (that’s what they are called honest) from co op kids still think they are chipolatas.
Before it tuned veggie I always hated sausages meat ones turn my stomach my grandad was a butcher & I knew exactly what went into them.
Now I’m veggie I’ve been trying them all

Richmond veggie sausages are almost identical to the real ones, even as far as having skin on them.

If you served them in a cafe the majority of people wouldn't realise that they were veggie.

One of my guilty pleasure is a Richmond sausage when I’m hungover. Dirty I know
Boiled?

As a kid, my grandma used to give us the Richmond skinless ones boiled. They are flippin' gorgeous!! - (Maybe because I was a kid I didn't know any better, but I still like them like that now).

Everyone who reads this post owes it to themselves to try Richmond skinless sausages boiled - unless that's how everyone has them normally.... in which case I'll shut up!

I once worked for a major supplier of sausages to Tesco - in production: the "value" range [we also manufactured the deli and more expensive ranges] - had minced eye-lids, tail and other parts of the animal ["mechanically recovered"], mixed with fat and processed ingredients and stabilisers. Fried up or grilled you would call them "proper"(?) "sausages" - I wouldnt even touch the packaging, let alone eat one!
