Would you believe it.
It looks like (sadly) three times more people have died from covid than previously reported in Iran.
I expect India will be next.
Russia, Will we ever know?
 
Not a shock in the least when it comes to governments like that.
The reports of mass graves didn't tally up with the death toll.

42,000 instead of 14,000, a huge difference.

Again,where are you getting this totally objective and honest information from?

The higher figure is based on those dying with Covid-19 symptoms and supported by excess deaths. The lower figure is based on those tested, which is equivalent to the daily reported figure the UK presents to international organizations.

Not really the same given both figures are readily available on UK government websites, and the reasons for the disparity between the two figures are public knowledge.

The Iran figures are only known because of a whistleblower, and presumably also does not include thousands who died with Coronavirus rather than from Coronavirus, or died without getting tested.

They weren't for a long time in the UK. Even now there are greater excess deaths the UK Covid-19 figures account for. They even only counted positive tests in hospitals till much later! This pretence was presented to the public daily.

The embargo on exports to Iran will have made testing and medical care far more difficult than the majority of countries. Also, the refugee camps (mainly from Afghanistan) will have been a medical nightmare.
