Interesting stat this season - player debuts

Caught this from Carricks interview after the match yesterday. As well as all the injuries this season, there’s been a big turnover of players, and we’ve give 20 players their debuts! Out of the 37 players who have played for us this season that’s huge. Key for the summer, as much continuity as we can get please!

I think that's pretty understandable considering the turnover we had in the summer. Too many loanees leads to this issue. Yes we might end up losing a couple we can't afford to turn down and/or want to leave, but we now, unlike last year have the solid foundation on which to build.

That must be a club record, surely.

Whilst I totally agree, you'd have to think that the high number of injuries we've had this season plays into it also.

Add in needing to replace Rogers, and to cover two mid-season international tournaments as well, it's been an unusual season for player numbers.
