I've noticed a number of Tory MP's have been suggesting that 'wage inflation' is the reason for high inflation.

This seems to tally.

The political equivalent of pishing up your leg and telling you its raining.

Yes, all the big private sector pay rises have been kept quiet. Bylines in the press and broadcast media at most.
