Blackpool Football Club is delighted to announce the arrival of Jordan Rhodes on a season-long loan from Sky Bet Championship side Huddersfield Town.

The 33-year-old has scored over 200 league goals during his 16-year playing career, most prominently with the Terriers and Blackburn Rovers. A record breaker throughout his career, the forward holds Huddersfield’s record for most league goals in a single season during their League One promotion campaign in 2012 with 36 goals.

Rhodes was named in the EFL Team of the Decade in 2015 following 146 goals in 258 appearances over five campaigns. The striker arrives following 11 years in the top two divisions of English football and has been registered in time to be available for selection for tomorrow's game against Lincoln City.

Jordan Rhodes said:

"I'm really looking forward to being here and to be working with these players and all of the staff.

"I think this is a Club that will be up there at the right end of the division come the end of the season, and I'm looking forward to playing my part in that."

Neil Critchley said:

“We are delighted to bring Jordan to Blackpool, who has a proven track record of scoring goals.

“His record speaks for itself, whilst his knowledge of this league and what is required will prove to be vital during his time with us.

“He provides another option in the final third and we are all looking forward to working with him.”

Can't believe he's only 33. Seems to have been around forever.

Will always love Rhodes for giving me one of my best away day memories - the winner at Bolton away in the promotion season. Don't think my heart rate has ever fully recovered.
