Keep banging that drum. You know metric is more useful in the world and you know we've been using it for 40 years. You didn't prove anyone wrong. You desperately tried to re-frame the original claim you made, altering the wording then asserting you were correct all along whilst accusing me of moving the goalposts for quoting your exact words.
The UK is a nation which uses BOTH metric and imperial. I assume you don't recognise this. You will be exposed to both systems in all kinds of ways in our society. That includes people under 40 years old, of which I am and you are not. You are not in any position to make the claim that everyone under 40 has only been brought up with metric because it's an outright lie.
Do you have any kids in school small? Are you a teacher? Your point about kids only been taught one system of measurement intrigued me so I asked a friend's son this weekend how many inches were in a foot. Bang, answered straight away. So they are obviously been taught both systems in schools still. Much like I was 20 years ago.Keep banging that drum. You know metric is more useful in the world and you know we've been using it for 40 years.
But hey, if it makes you feel better to scream and shout at me as you defend another step that sends our countries backwards then you crack on. I can take it and we both know it's factually true that the majority of the rest of the world uses metric, ergo we disadvantage kids if we try and move away from it. That's a fact. I know you don't care and as long as you can call yourself 6 foot tall then to hell with the kids but that's just how it is
And alloy wheels. The very same kids whose mobile devices have screen sizes listed in inches?
