The one that stuck in my mind was the railway safety one with the lad who got his foot stuck and had his leg cut off by the train.

I'm an absolute nerd as regards Public information films...love them.
The Central Office of Information was the source of these films...fillers as the TV stations called them. There were dozens made, many have stayed in the publics imagination for years.
There are many lost films...they reappear thanks to collectors and archivists.

Reginald Molehusband still hasn't been found...it exists in audio format only.

Two DVD compilations were made called Charley Says.
