I considered O'Brien bit I felt like Dijksteel to Smith his better upgrade than Howson to O'Brien at the moment. Unless of course you are thinking to play O'Brien at left back which would improve us a lot
 
Coburn also a massive miss. Even if you have Lath in front of him as a starter, we miss him as an option of the bench and to help close games out. Lath only looks like he has 60-70 mins in him, playing with the intensity that we demand. I would personally rotate Coburn and Lath around a bit depending on the opposition's strengths. Keep them guessing. They pose two very different problems so if the opponent doesn't know which one is playing its difficult to have definite game plan.

It was between Smith and Coburn for the third spot for me.

Hackney simply makes us 'tick' and we are completely different without him. A slight worry with so many clubs interested.

It's mad to think how much we miss Smith. Also that he's our best RB by some stretch. Also miss his leadership.

I'm putting O'brien in for no real reason other than his form at Huddersfield. We didn't really see him in CM most appearances were at LB.

I think Greenwood and Rogers have filled the gap left by Mcgree well enough. Although Mcgree is better than both. That said Greenwood clearly has a good eye for goal.

Forss is probably one that won't mentioned much. Yet it's easy to forget he was a nailed on starter last season. A good finisher but also tracked back well on the right. Usually under the guidance of Smith.

The fact is we are missing some very good championship players. It's not an excuse. Just facts.
 
Wouldn't Forss's inclusion limit Izzy's first team selection? He's been really sound of late and currently would prefer him to Forss

Same I think I would start Jones too but to have Forss available when Jones is having a quiet game could be great. Also could help out up top while Coburn is injured. It’s a shame.

I like Forss. Do think the injured record is a cause for concern though
 
Hackney - our best quality player

McGree - Regular OZ international, useful to assist any forward

O'Brien - Versatile, can play anywhere in midfield or full back. looked decent quality too.

For Centre half we need to bring someone in.
 
Hackney - our best player by a mile.

Coburn - leads the line so well and enables us to play further forward longer

McGree/Forss/O'Brien - would all be in my first team from the current squad.
