If you booed Connolly

Tony Yeboah said it was the Yorkshire Puddings that game him the strength to score those amazing goals..

Any player going on that pitch wearing a Boro shirt gets my full backing,. Support, encouragement, cheering. What is the point of booing a player when you want him to do well. How does that help him.
I have never known a player, booed by his own fans, improve his performance - certainly not enough to get those booing him to eat humble pie and cheer him on.
It was embarrassing that they booed before he was even on the pitch - that's the way to encourage somebody wearing a Boro shirt .......not!

I think the move has been a disaster. I don’t agree with booing a player coming on, especially when Hugill who was just as bad got clapped off 😂.
This video now online of him looking worse for wear at a party where it looks like there’s drugs being taken doesn’t help. Went away with his missus instead of watching the team play.
He’s had more game time than the other strikers, been supported and failed to deliver. I don’t know how people earn so much for being so average. If he was a chippy and got one cut right in every 4 weeks then there would be no wood left

No matter how good or bad a player is, if he's trying his best... booing a player wearing the shirt of the team you support, is pathetic.

I hope he gets another chance at the championship next season and gives us a good beating (as long as we still get promoted).
He will make it, he has the drive and belief,( I believe) he has had a rough time of late so is in a low period, splitting up with your partner takes its toll as some will know.
I still think he has something to offer us in the remaining games, so we should back him and hope he comes good. No one can fault his effort, give him a break and we may have a player on our hands. Come on Arron, you can do it. UTB

I'm not advocating booing a Boro player, however Dutch international and ex Barca and Chelsea player Zenden was criticised by our expert crowd base, then when they deemed him up to standard they made up a song how he used to be "*****" (he wasn't) but now he's "alright" (he was much better than that).

We have some of the most toxic fans in the country, and I stand by that opinion.

Booing you're own player seems somewhat antagonistic.
not just to Connolly, but also to the whole team. Do we really want some of our players angry with the fans for verbally belittling their mate? Do these moronic booers think their action will only effect Connolly? Footballers are people, they will be angry that their mate was singled out, bullied if you like, some will worry that they might get booed if they make a mistake. So well done, next time Jones takes the easy option of a safe ball back to Dijksteel instead of running at his man, it's on you, for putting fear of failure into players.

I've been following the Boro for nigh on 60 years. I have to say that there have only been a few times when there wasn't at least one player/target for the boo-boys. It is completely incomprehensible, counter-productive and cringe-worthy. What it must do to said player's confidence heaven only knows.
something in the psyche of our 'supporters' is broken, it needs to change, if a player isn't good enough, or isn't in form, I can accept that, but as long as they don't hide, and put the effort in then why do this? He hasn't been strolling around like Yakubu did when he wanted to go to Everton, he's tried but on the ball his efforts haven't worked. But he puts himself forwards, he closes down non-stop and at times he was closing down on his own as Sporar waddled about doing nothing.

I'm not fan of Sporar, or Britt before him, but I never booed either.
