van den Berg, Morris, Hackney, McGree, Doak, Latte Lath, we will go very close to top 2 in my opinion.

That squad should be in and around the top 4 positions at the end of the season, it's the best squad of players since, George Clayton Leadbitter Gibson etc

We’ve got several ‘jewel in the crown’ players who could potentially go for huge fees and play in the top leagues. It’s a long time since we’ve been able to say that. RVDB, Hackney and Morris all destined for bigger things, as well as Doak obviously. Enjoyable ride ahead this season, now we are settling down to business

We are pretty much covered in every position, bar CF. If Lath gets an injury, out for a few weeks, there's absolutely nothing I've seen in Bergzorg which gives confidence he can step into Laths boots.
Surely need to be looking at this position in January. Even a marquee loan signing like Archer would be okay I suppose........

We now have Lath, Conway, Burgzorg (not been great so far but only been mostly given bits and pieces), and Forss (could play up top now we have multiple right wing options.
And that is for one position. And Lath/Conway were the two biggest signings of the last two years (maybe Morris in that range as well)
They need to start achieving/stay fit, but we have options.

The no 10 role concerns me slightly. I think Azaz is our best option there for now and I do think it's helped him having Doak and McGree either side of him. I still want a bit more from him though. I feel his decision making is letting him down and he needs to release the ball quicker at times.
Maybe as the season progresses Hamilton will improve and may end up competing for that position. Still got Gilbert to took come back as well of course, although I do get the impression Carrick might not fancy him.

Yes, but I think he's seen as a No 10 option, not the No. 9. Early days, but looks like Burgzorg is Laths deputy.
We saw last season when we were desperate for a genuine striker, Forss was continually overlooked so just get the feeling this will happen again.....same with Conway.
We have a multitude of options with the three behind, so let's see. Nice position to be in.

I don't think ELL can start every game, be effective and stay healthy: I don't think anyone can at this level.
That's where I see Conway coming in. He will get his share of starts, but I also expect to see the starting striker come off in most matches.
