If there was a General Election tomorrow...

I live in a tory safe seat where Lib Dems are the party challenging. No interest in voting for either of them, or boosting the numbers for the red tories so I'll spoil my ballot.

Reading through the thread I have enjoyed @Blf's posts. The country needs a change, but if Labour say they'll change things he won't vote for them, but the reason he won't vote for them is because they won't win, but if they promise not to change anything he will vote for them, because then they'll win and be able to deliver the change they're not going anywhere near. And then polished off with Kinnock as left wing :ROFLMAO: Superb.

Makes me sad that I would be holding my nose to vote Starmer’s Labour in, but hold it I would if needed, in the (ignorant, naive?) hope that he’d show more traditional Labour values once elected and no longer be playing to the press.

He'll never not be playing to the press really though will he. If Labour do win the next election, whenever it is next year, the 2029 campaign will begin the next day.

Lots of excuses and reasons there , the only thing that they all have in common is that they represented the far left of the party and all ended up with the same result all losers.
Starmer will win and then people like you will slaughter him. The left of the party are happy in their misery the rest of us want to win and make a difference. Just like the centre of the party made under Blair. The one thing we are lucky with is this board is totally unrepresentative of the voting population.
Good night UTB

You didn't vote corbyn

Shut the **** up you remainer Tory

I agree, but it’s like that by design though, in my opinion. Keep us all thick and politically ignorant and ill-informed and pump out the ‘they are all as bad as eachother’ narrative at every opportunity and wallah! An apathetic, uninterested, disengaged voting population. One which is so much easier to fool and take power from, that one which is actually politically aware.
Great post.
I agree that everything you say however, the power and ability to develop awareness and knowledge sits with the individual which is why I believe that anyone saying, they’re all the same, is lazy in discovering what’s really going on in this country and how they are hoodwinked but also, sitting with themselves and thinking through (the pain) of what is right and what is wrong, where’s their humanity and start to explore how to develop an inquisitive mindset keeping it open and understanding…

Its cause its a bit like if you met someone saying they'd only go to boro matches if we got relegated to the third div so there was more chance of winning the matches.
