I was on a kibbutz in 96/97 and I know from a comment I overheard that they would see it as a decent return, again no opinion just what I heard on a particular day was that 60 Palestinians had been killed as well as 6 IDF in a gun battle in the West Bank, the Israeli near me looked upset and said " wow that is a lot killed, 6 is too many".
 
How many lives would be lost if there were no hostages. That's the question you should ask.

It takes your breath away when you first experience apartheid.

Hamas & Netanyeehar have blood on their hands - both a culpable for the destruction of life. Israel just has more weapons & to hand.

Palestinian lives don't seem to matter to either of them & Hamas ( Iran ) wants Israel destroyed just as much as the right wing of Israel wants Hamas ( Iran ) destroyed - they are both using Gaza as a battle ground & the longer if goes on the less 'moderate' people on all sides will become.

IDF are their leaders attack dog - Netanyahu, knows the more Palestinians he has killed will strengthen his grip on power as it will push the extremes: more radicalisation of both Muslims & Jews - let the hatred grow, is Netanyahu & Hamas's aim.

Palestinians are detained in Israel - 'charged & convicted' of crimes, with little or no due process - Hamas takes hostages.

Over 400. With over 4,500 injured and over 7,000 Palestinians detained.

Not a question we need to ask. We have that control group - its called the West Bank.
