Iconic Riverside moment yesterday

Sorted of half heard it in a bemused kind of "what's he rabbiting on about" kind of way.

Random indeed. But then the world of vloggers and influencers is a bit alien to an old codger like me. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah I saw it on the screen and thought to myself 'I will remember this moment just like the day John Lennon got shot' (not)

I felt a bit sorry for the guy as he held up the ring and there was silence from the crowd. Cringe worthy.

It made me wonder... I'm sure that I remember someone getting engaged in the centre circle, perhaps in the late 90s. Have I imagined that?

No, I vaguely remember that. Definitely at the Riverside, ******* down I think. Everyone was chanting "no, no, no, no!", and there was a collective groan when she said yes. Then a round of applause.

That was a guy I worked with who proposed at the Riverside. He’s from guisborough but moved down south. They got married, had a couple of kids and separated 3 years ago!
