Disappointing result today but for me that scoreline doesn't tell the full story. We had plenty of chances today and Bolasie did exactly what was asked of him. Beating his man and whipping some excellent balls in. Britt's movement for a centre forward is dreadful and I don't think Akpoms is great either. When I look at our attacking options, I see Watmore as the one who makes the most intelligent runs. Some of the balls from Bolasie were crying out for someone to go near post but Britt was static on too many occasions. Watmore has already shown he can finish and he has the running ability to go in behind. I think there's nothing to lose as Britt isn't performing at the minute so I would start Watmore as centre forward next game.
 
I think Bolasie should be considered 'up top' too.
Maybe alongside Watmore (little & large).
Bolasie looks a real big unit and not afraid of the physical stuff - he really got stuck in today.
 
Bolasie and Kebano are going to find out what Johnson already knows,you can put as many great balls as you like into the box there is a big hole where our centre forward should be
 
Sticking Assombalonga up front to try and close down or pressure a ball playing defence and goalkeeper like Brentford have, was a very poor decision by Warnock. And to not bring him off earlier than he did was equally as poor.
 
I seriously hope Watmore isn't discarded because we have expensive loans.

He's been a consistent threat with pace and movement. I thought he should have started today ahead of Kebano. Just based on 'time done' and form.

You'd think new lads would need to force there way into a new side.
 
Norwich and Brentford centre halves play it from the back .
To stop it , you need 2 forwards / players to pressure / Mark them , and stop this , put pressure on them and force a mistake .
 
Brentford also have a Man City type keeper. He is so comfertable in possession. Just plays like a sweeper.... You don't see many like him in the champo.

He was pinging around like a cultured CM😉
 
I thnk Ashley Fletcher is playing 90 mins today with a view to coming back as centre forward. He maybe has the height to get on the end of crosses and has arguably a bit more physical presence than Watmore. There are some big, brute defenders in this league you have to go up against that
 
I think Fletcher is definitely a better option than Britt and Akpom but he still doesn't make intelligent runs for me. Watmore seems to be the one who comes alive in the box and gets into the best areas and finds space for himself. Also I think he has the running ability and pace to press from the front.
 
He’d never win the ball in a Warnock side. You can’t expect him to hold off the centre backs and win flick ons. The opposite of what we need up top in this side

Those two would make a great front pairing actually. Fletchers a danger in the air, and good at creating and gets in goalscoring positions. Watmore can run at people, and run beyond. Those two with Kebano and Bolasie getting the ball in would be a danger.
