Having been told Riley McGree was fully fit - he wasn't used at all - surprised me.

Maybe not 100% and I don’t think that was the game to come straight back into after injury. Especially not running down the win into advanced positions.

Surely just means he wasn't ready.
Carrick has done this previously to get players back around the matchday squad.
Hackney sat on the bench a couple of times towards the back end of last season despite not being fit.

But we were told he was fit and OK to play.

If a player is not fit to play say at least 25 minutes he should not be on the bench.
