I love the championship

old topic I know but it is brilliant we won't have as much fun in the premier if we get promoted, and that match tonight was top quality some great football from both teams

Fully support this opinion.
I do like watching the premiership but also find it a bit sterile and unrelatable.
The championship for me is a brilliant league and I find myself watching more and more 'non boro' games.
The quality has improved hugely in the last decade too.

There's more at stake, Prem top 6 is generally decided before a ball is kicked. I think this is what life would be like if the greedy ******* at the top went to the Super League

Personally, there haven't been many seasons I've enjoyed in the Championship, and a few I've only enjoyed for half the season.

- Mowbray half of first full season
- Mowbray half of 2nd season
- Karanka playoff season
- Karanka promotion season
- 2nd half of playoff season under Pulis
- 2nd half of last season under Wilder
- 2nd half of this season

We were an established Premier League club once and it was great. No reason why we can't experience that again.

At the moment Chelsea have zero chance of finishing top 6 and Liverpool are struggling in 8th. Newcastle are nailed on for top 6 for the first time in god knows how long and at least one of Brighton or Villa will join them in my opinion, as Spurs are currently woeful. Arsenal will finish no worse than 2nd, but they finished 8th as recently as 2019/20 and 2020/21. If they win it, they will be the 6th different Champions in the last 11 years. West Ham and Leicester both finished top 6 in 2020/21 but are fighting relegation this season.

I don't disagree with the general sentiment about the Championship being brilliant, but the Premier League gets a bad rap when it is easily the most competitive of Europe's top 5/6 leagues.
