I hope it’s Frankie Lampard

Did Lampard play particularly attacking football?

I think Wilder's SU outscored Lampard's Derby by some distance, despite Derby being loaned an number of big name PL kids.

It's mistake to think that a team will reflect the playing style of the manager. Rarely happens.

And I'd never appoint a manager because he's well-connected and could bring in loan players. Might as well become a feeder club.

Lampard is at best a fraud. I'd probably give up if he was appointed.

Wilder isn't a defensive manager either. I don't think he's the best fit for this squad personally but he's definitely not defensive.

Where does this baloney come from that Wilder is a defensive coach, or am I assuming the OP has never watched Sheff Utd when Wilder was in charge?

Maybe he can have a chat to my best mate who's a United fan and who worships the ground he walks on.

I would be absolutely delighted if Gibson appointed Lampard.
He wouldn't be able to attract him I'm afraid.

Intelligent, articulate, charismatic, well connected, respected.
Did well at Derby and brilliantly in first season at Chelsea without being able to sign, blooding so many youngsters.

I've nothing against Wilder at all and respect for his achievements at Northampton and Sheff U, though the relegation season was a horrendous one.
I'd rather him than Farke personally.

It’ll be interesting maybe to get an insight to how they view Wilder’s tenure with Sheff U in the Prem.

picking a manager like Wilder might get us up to the Prem but after that we’ll be cannon fodder.

Anyone tell me any player of note that Wilder signed that made u excited— got the tongues wagging? Nah because he doesn’t have any pulling power — instead they bought Brewster from the Reds for a hugely inflated price, and has only one goal to his name (13 months after joining).

He’s not a bad looking man.

Yes, it would be interesting when they tell you that with three games to go in 2019, they were in 7th, above Spurs, Arsenal and Everton, and five points off the Champions League, with one of the lowest wage bills in the league.
