I hate it when we play Birmingham

Apart from teams we have never beaten like Cambridge then Birmingham must be up there with the worst ground for us to visit, since 1899 they've shipped over 100 goals passed us at their ground & the season they changed their name from Small Heath to Birmingham they thrashed us 7-0

Mind we've only played em 6 times though 😔

I have hated Birmingham ever since the worst experience at a ground ever in the ’Bob Hatton’ game in the 70’s. Attacked by men wielding sticks beforehand, police turned their backs and walked away, bruised and scared as a kid, the game itself, Boro didn’t turn up, everything was as wrong as wrong could be. My hopes and dreams shattered big style. I hate going there, the only good thing I can think of to say about Birmingham is, ‘that they are not dirty Leeds’, anything else positive would be a lie.

Tavernier debuted under Monk.

Unless we're counting players who were in the academy whilst Karanka was here, in which case there's Fry, Coulson, Wood and Tavernier.
 
Mad how much turnover there's been in the 3 years since Karanka left.
One survivor and he was a bit part player when Karanka was here.
