I fkn hate my life

I'm so sorry to hear this, Redagain. I've had to go through this on more than one occasion and it isn't easy, but as others have said, you will feel better afterwards when looking back on this sad and difficult time.

My thoughts are with you.

I was 'lucky' when my Mam died as I was in NZ, but my sis was there throughout and it was horrible for her watching a once-strong woman fade away and die as the dementia took a bigger hold.
As others have said time does heal and be sure that your Dad would really appreciate that you re there for him. Kia kaha mate (Kia kaha is a Māori phrase used by the people of New Zealand as an affirmation, meaning stay strong. The phrase has significant meaning for Māori: popularised through its usage by the 28th Māori Battalion during World War II, it is found in titles of books and songs, as well as a motto.)

At 53 I should be ā€˜grown upā€™ enough to not worry about this but my mam n dad ainā€™t getting any youngerā€¦ its now one of the things that plays on my mind the most as I work away from home a lotā€¦

Sorry to hear your news and I hope you manage to find what you need to get through this difficult timeā€¦ places like this forum are always good to anonymously vent your feelings and get support, weā€™re all here for you, as much as we can be šŸ™

So sorry to read this mate. Like others I've been through it. It's so hard but you will come out the other side. Death is part of life but it's a very hard thing to deal with when it happens to your nearest and dearest.
