I do love an EV thread.

I feel he's lying. He can't tell us what his EV is or what the problems he's having with it.

It's a shame really, but even the BBC lied to trash EVs this week. So it's a standard thing now.
Who the hell are you to imply a poster is lying, Disgusting behaviour.

Whilst electric vehicles are better than petrol for the environment, they aint the answer. Less cars on the road by ordes of magnitude, is the answer. Cars are wateful in manufacturing and we need to be making less of them. Proper funded public transport and self drive ubers are the way to go to reduce car ownership.

Once tax take is reduced on petrol cars, any goverrnment will look to recoup that with other motoring taxation so they won't always be cheaper either.

Becasue he must be. He has a lot of anti EV posts but he can't even tell us what his car is or what this unknown problem is. It's a simple question which would stop any confusion. His refusal to answer it suggests he's just making it up to help his "argument". There's a simple way he can fix any accusations of lying. But he can't

Neil, you are the biggest Bullshoter on here,

Anyway: moving on from the stalker "new member"

It's good to see the uptake of EV in this country despite the deceitful negative press.

I hope traditional car manufacturers start getting away from putting their tech in old, ICE chassis. It's not good for the packaging. As I mentioned I test drove a polestar 2 yesterday and I loved it but the missus didn't like hoe cramped it was inside. It has a "transmission tunnel" which is poor form. We need more Hyundai whi are happy to develop new, pure EV platforms. Hopefully the Germans and the "swedes" will start doing this soon

In fact, unless I'm wrong: only Tesla, Hyundai and Ford have pure EV platforms? Maybe the Nissan leaf too? The everymans EV.

It's about time the rest of the car world catches up or they'll be left behind

I have no idea what ST said and I don't want to know. But here is a guess anything pro EV is true, anything slightly critical is a lie.
The thing is with transport there isn't a 1 size fits all solution. Public transport works great in major cities but less well in smaller towns and rural areas. I did 16000 miles last year, many work related to an area without any chargers as it's a relatively remote part of Cumbria. I'm not considering an EV at the moment as I don't feel it's the right option for me. In addition my car's only 5 years old so I'm not considering changing it in the near future.

I did 11000 miles in the first year of my ev. Including numerous trips home (260 miles) constant work trips (220 miles) and one journey to the dordogne. Didn't notice an impact

I'm presuming though that your EV costs more than the £13k I paid for mine.

No because when I bought my car last year I never considered an EV.
You're not making any sense. You specifically state you're not thinking of buying an EV and state they aren't for you then in the very next post you pretend you have bought one. So clearly one of your statements is false. This is the thing I don't understand about the anti ev gang. Why you have to say things that aren't true and come up with fake scenarios
