I’m going to start putting pressure on people and if they don’t want to come I’ll leave alone,' the new full-time Boro boss tells the BBC

If he's saying he expects to make a profit. Then they expect one or two big (ish) out goings.

Mcnair maybe? Also the younger ones like coulson/Fry and spence may get a few quid based on potential.

McNair will be the most likely to go I think, NW has rated Saville and Howson above him and there is supposed interest from O'Neill at Stoke. If we got our money back (as reported) that's a good starting point.

He'll probably only sell Spence for an offer we can't refuse, we might be able to wangle a loan back?

I can see Britt staying given his wages and would like us to persevere with Fletcher, he's got better every season he's been here. Yes we paid over the odds, but that's done now. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see NW look to wheal and deal in this area as he has cited our poor scoring record in many of his interviews and probably thinks there's better value out there.

He said he didn't know why our forwards are one of the lowest scorers in the league , so I expect he will want an improvement in that department , and as they both have one year left , I think they will be both gone . £5m each .
As will
McNair £5m
Wing £2m
Spence if a £10m bid comes in .
Fry £8m
Browne £1m

No way will we sell 7 players, we would need to sign 16 players if we did that. Ain't gonna happen, we might sell 3 or 4 at a push

I could see Spence, Fry, McNair and Wing being sold for a combined £15m or so and possibly Britt if we get an offer around £5m purely to save the wages. I’d be sad to see Spence, Britt and Fry go but that’s decent money in and wages saved.

I think we'll keep Tavernier, Spence & Coulson. I can see us selling Britt, Fry & McNair.

Anyone on their last year has to extend or move on imo

Fry isnt a cultured Ch or an agressive one - not sure where he fits . The first season is over for him and hasnt really grown in stature .... thought wheater was better at this stage

I really can't get my head around some of the valuations of Fry on this board.

He has gone backwards so fast it's scary. Based on this season, he is worth absolutely nowhere near £8m. If you watch highlights of all the goals we conceded this season (probably a long watch!) - you'll be shocked by how many were his fault. Well into double figures.

I understand what some people are saying about him being in an unsettled backline all season, but it doesn't excuse his performances for me. He's been in and around the team long enough to have displayed some sort of leadership/quality this season but barring the odd game he was a joke.

You've got to remember he's been around since the Karanka days.

Get rid if we receive a half decent offer.

We could sell Britt for say £5m, pay off his contract and still have £3.5m left. But Im starting to think we will keep him and just add 1 more striker.

McNair is most probable sale or maybe Spence, who may get the biggest fee.

Only one I would regret leaving would be Tavernier - dont see how we could replace him for the money we would likely get and if he keeps improving I could see him going to the PL in a couple of years, probably for a big fee

But he was still only 21 year old with 50 starts to his name at the beginning of the season and coming off the back of a bad injury.

It was a big ask for him to come back into a team that was in chaos on the pitch, in an often makeshift team and suddenly be premier quality. He is currently still one of the best young defenders in the championship, even after a relatively poor season.

I can pinpoint goals that Friend, Shotton, McNair and Howson were to blame for, many goals and they are much more experienced players.

8mill is pennies these days, particularly if selling a young english player to a prem club.

Assombalonga's done well under Warnock, and he has a great bond with Fletcher, but I'm hoping we sell him to Bournemouth or the like to improve our financial situation.

His contribution can be replaced for cheaper and for less wages.

See this is what i dont understand about Britt. If we think his 'contribution' can be replaced for cheaper do we not expect potential buying clubs to realise the same?

Given that our scouting dept is woeful are we expecting them to come up with a replacement more effective for a cheaper price. Lol next joke

Britt, why would we pay his contract off? Any new employer will pay his wages, maybe less than his current wages, but he'll get a 3 or 4 year contract, so he'll have security. The alternative is he stays and gambles that his knee doesn't go pop again over the next year.

McNair is very saleable to me. He has some positives, good cross, drives forward with the ball, but he isn't very good at understanding whats going on around him, often loses the ball from players pressuring from over his shoulder. He's a RWB for me, not a CM.

Spence, great breakthrough season, but we've all seen it before, has he got the mentality to kick on, improve his weak areas and be a star? Or is now the time to sell when his stock is high? It's difficult to tell, a gamble either way.

Tav - DO NOT SELL! If he plays every week and gets a better team around him he will be worth upwards of 15m next year.

The reason Britt has a good record in the championship is because he has played in this league for a long time. Other strikers who have done well tend to move on. Hell I mean even gestede was bought by a premier League club. Strikers who offer goals but little else like Britt and Rhodes tend to stay down here.

He can sell anyone that he likes but not Tav. He is the only player we have of premier League quality.

Tav premier league quality? Nope!

On the subject of Britt doing well under Warnock.

- He scored a penna vs Hull, great but, any striker should score at least 8 out of 10 pens
- He scored against Millwall , tap in after Fletchers pressure created a 2 vs 1, he benefitted from a virtual open goal created by Fletch, it didn't need clever movement or a good finish
- He scored against Bristol C - credit where it's due, good finish, used the defender to obstruct GK view and stroked into far corner
- He scored against Cardiff - decent freekick but it wasn't in the corner and the GK should have done better
- He scored against Sheff W, a decent turn, but lets be honest it was a goalkeeping error

He has had a few bright moments under warnock, he's had a bit of luck and created 2 good goals and worked hard enough
