The amount of people who are naive sharing ridiculous conspiracy theories and heightening a sense of fear is filling my newsfeed and will be for most.

Just from the first few posts this morning there are theories that we are at biological war with China, the Illuminati are now taking over the world, we’re all going to die etc and people perpetuate the problem by sharing this stuff.

With many people facing a few weeks at home, some with nothing to occupy their minds other than getting themselves drawn deeper into this rubbish it’s going to get a lot worse on there before it gets better.
 
if Anybody shares a conspiracy theory I will either unfriend them or simply hide their posts. You don’t have to read all this nonsense. Crikey. You have enough of it on here
 
There is some good stuff on there as well. Over 60,000 signed up for an free online festival thing this coming weekend.

of course and there’s vital community messages being passed too. My point is you can tailor it to hide the noise and nonsense of which there is plenty.
I had a Facebook post yesrday from what is now an ex friend. She wrote and this is word for word

” Ski season now officially over. No more Whistler until the end of April 😢”

Peoples lack of self awareness and selfishness really shine through at times like this.
