Beggars can’t be choosers - and no doubt our tax money is funding the lawyer for this. I’m sorry but this is just bs - people taking advantage of our hospitality is what annoys people struggling to get by!

Instead of saying its bs why don’t you wait to see the outcome?

If the Afghan family is proved to be wrong then so be it and
If the government are in the wrong so be it.

So they should just accept that their children's life chances have been significantly hampered simply because we helped them escape a situation we were instrumental in creating?

Righto.....

yeah, these people should be grateful for any shreds of humanity we deem worthy to throw their way.

I am only surprised the Tory party hasn't locked on their messaging to the "its all the fault of immigration" as to why the NHS is underfunded and in danger. I guess that will be next months message.

There is probably lots of people who want to live in london but can’t afford it - this is the crux of the case summed up by their lawyer.

“The Afghan families' solicitor, Daniel Rourke, from the Public Law Project, said he was hopeful his clients would win the case and be allowed to return to south London”

It seems to me there are three options:

(1) Don't let them in to the country in the first place
(2) Let them in, then ruin the children's education and tell them to put up with it
(3) Let them in and treat them like everyone else

I'm aligned with (3), and can understand people who fit with (1), but (2) is a complete nonsense to me.

Beggars can’t be choosers

By "beggars" you mean "children escaping the Taliban", and by "choosers" you mean "not wanting to be forced out of school mid-GCSEs".

They were moved in august - that tends to be the summer holidays. Changing schools for the next school year is probably the most sensible thing to do. The article seems to imply they were barely in the first school for any period of time. I wonder what would be their next move if they are given a perfectly good school up north!?

It won't have been their decision to be placed in London. Once they were, they should be allowed to stay there until the children have finished their exams.

You really are a piece of work. You should be ashamed of yourself.
As mentioned we will be providing legal aid to fund this. And when you say in the wrong - - weve given them refuge - everything after that is a bonus!
see my point above. You are showing your true Tory colours here. Everything after refuge is a bonus? You ****

As long as you are happy with your tax money paying for london hotels and expensive solicitors then that’s fine - I’m not.
I'm happy with my tax money helping people escape conflict and then create a life here where they have a fair chance of doing well - and not being moved on a whim because gammons like you moan about them being placed somewhere that others can't afford to live, especially when they won't have chosen that place themselves.

No, the announcement that they would be moved was in August.

I’d much rather see that money go towards the nhs!

Ding ding ding, we have a winner.

The Tory Party would love the hard of thinking to swallow the line that tax revenue being spent on immigration welfare is the reason the rest of society is struggling.

Absolutely nothing at all to do with the vast sums (billions of £££) spunked away during Covid and still today, to friends and families of Tory party shysters and grifters.

Remind me how the NHS is currently spending that £250 mil a week that Brexit freed up.?

Is it really so much of a hardship to be moved - they’ve been saved from a country where women are often excluded from education. They have come here and have been provided with a roof over their heads (which they complain about) and education (which they complain about), are so deeply offended they take the gvt to court using our money!

Let’s pretend it costs nothing then, that way your argument stacks up!

As long as they don’t ruin your Christmas right?

You’re vermin.

Sexpom I don’t know why you feel the need to call everyone names. You have a point of view so do I. Didn’t you get sidelined for that before.

One of them hasn't even got a school place. Why would they be moved unless they already had school places?

I get it that you see them as not as deserving as Brits but the fault here is with our authorities not doing their jobs properly.
