Hyundai Tucson owners - help

I’m presently sat at the Euro Tunnel waiting to board (trains delayed) and wanting to change my speedometer from mph to kmp. I’ve searched all through the different menus but cannot find the units button.

On every other car this task it straight forward but I cannot see it on this one.

I’ve managed to do it on the satnav but it makes life easier when the speedo is set.

Any ideas.

I had one for 3 yrs and never came across it. Not that I looked for it specifically but I do tend to explore all the menu options when I get a car.

Just tell the bloody foreigners on the other side of the tunnel that you're British and we drive in MPH not some system conjured up by unelected EU beurocrats

In my Ford it's done by changing the fuel economy measurements. Moving from mpg to metric then changes the speed measurements too.

Might be similar with the software in your vehicle?

The trains from our side going to the continent use mph and your car knows this so you are good until you get over there. Once the car smells the Eurozone air as you disembark, give it a few mins and the cpu will now allow the unit setting popup to appear.

That's what I do. Just sellotape a calculator to the centre of the steering wheel to allow rapid calculations on the move

Not sure if it would work, but if you use Google maps through android Auto, does that not automatically convert to KM/H? At least then you have some idea of what speed you are traveling?

That will give you a smaller number.

I print and laminate an A4 piece of paper with converted measurements on it in KM, MPH and in case I drive too far West knots. I cut eye holes in it. I then stick this on the windscreen in front of me.

And you can change the language so your instructions are in French.

We have been able to do it through the satnav but can’t suss the Speedo out.

The English speedo converts the kph to mph and I’m just sticking inside that.
