Nah not today and I’m one of his biggest fans. Ran down blind alleys too often and tried to get involved with pushing and shoving too much instead of been the calm presence he normally is ( or has been up until this season) Struggled today
 
How close was that Fry strike? Some fella stood up just as it was flying towards goal an I heard the ‘oooohhhhh’

Constants in our team in a team that has failed upon season upon season and had various managers lose their jobs. I think McNair and Fry especially are up there as the most inconsistent players to have played for us. Pair of them were shocking again. Howson I can sort of empathise with due to his age and the lack of competition in his position. We are just a shambles from top to bottom.

I'd say, they are all bloody rubbish. These are the guys the Gazette slobber over and think the team should be built around. But they are under performing week on week and create nothing week on week

Nowhere near, from the north stand.

Looked close at first, and I don't blame him for taking the shot, but it was well wide by the end.

Apart from the goal today! Howson that is...
 
Howson was one of the better players today can’t understand the criticism aimed at him. McNair was vastly improved second half, I’d look at using him at right back in a 4.
 
Thought Howson was poor in the first half, like the rest of the midfield, bar the one good pass for our goal.

Much better in the second half, but that doesn't absolve him of his part in the first half *****.
