It'd definitely busier on here than I expected.

So what you all eating, drinking, watching ?

I've been living it up :)
Had a load Mark and Spencer curry(s) that filled me up so match I've only managed 2 pints til now.
Have watched The Worlds Strongest Man, The Ozzy Osbourne documentary on BBC and now onto one about Hawkwind. The scheduled TV is atrocious.
Will try and stay up til midnight just for the sake of it I suppose.

Been busy listening to music, watching the films, drinking proper beers and relaxing too. Happy New Year to you. Take care of yourself.

Relaxed. Wine is going down nicely - just had some nibbles and earlier a couple of video chats and toasted remote family. It's a little sort of disconnected feeling but that is the lack of physical contact (a hug would be the thing) - I'm used to it with work but this feels strange. Still contact made and they are all well, so all good :)

My daughter had a meal kit delivered from a London Burmese restaurant, we ate some of it (huge) my wife set up home cinema on projector and large screen and we watched Soul, lit the fire and watching jools now HNY!

Just back from the pub as usual, nibbles and party games at the ready, fireworks unwrapped and neighbour with a lump of coal ready to first foot at Midnight. Should be all over about 2am though out of respect for the street ................... Aaaaaggh, I appear to have woken up in 2019, I knew I shouldn’t have watched groundhog day on the telly........ over again.

Do people still go outside to 'let the New Year in', or is that a thing of the past?!
Probably something that's a bit lost now I reckon, with my Mam and Dads generation and before, you needed someone else to come into the house to let the New Year in, so after midnight everyone would be shuttling around between houses.

You had me going there :)
Having said that I can hear fireworks outside now at half eleven FFS.

Yeah, that's true. People used to go door to door, have a couple of drinks, see friends and move onto the next house. Another thing of the past and a time when you knew (and liked!!) your neighbours!!

Quiet! On my jack jones, various random beer, watched von Ryan’s express and now watching The Inbetweeners (see my post of a few minutes ago).

Oh, and just had pizza delivered
Love von Ryan's express El Guapo, see how long if you can tell me who my neighbours brother in law is, he played in both VRE & the great escape, got shot in one of em & escaped in another

Y'know, that was one of the things I thoiught might take off again this year if we'd gone backto say a lower tier. Sadly not and that is a shame
