How would you use the 5 loans?

I know we’d all prefer to sign players permanently but we’re going to have to rely on loans. How would you like to see them used?

I’ve gone for:
LB - Lewis Hall (Chelsea) or Fernandez (ManUtd)
RB - Brandon Williams (ManUtd)
CM - Bejcetic (Liverpool) or sign one of Sheaf (Cov) or Mitchel (Millwall) as a long term Howson replacement
S - Archer 😍(Villa) or Tom Cannon (Everton)
S - Kieffer Moore (Bournemouth)

Leaves us with good cover for each position.

GK - Dieng, Glover, Jones
RB - Williams, Smith, Dijksteel
CB - Lenihan, Fry, VDBerg, Dijksteel, Clarke?, McNair?
LB - Hall/Fernandez, Williams Coulson
CM - Howson, Hackney, Bajcetic/Mitchel/Sheaf, Barlaser, Payero, Crooks
RW - Forss, Jones, Rogers
CF - Akpom, Rogers, McGree, Gilbert
LW - McGree, Rogers, Silvera
S - Archer/Cannon, Moore, Crooks, Coburn?, Forss, Gilbert

I think that’s a top 6 squad that could easily be competing for top 2! UTB
 
Lewis going to Palace
Fernandez going to Burnley (add in Ramsey going for £12m and they are at it again, jumping in any tfrs we have hinted at)
 
Incoming and most urgent positions I am hearing from my contacts 5 possibly 6 incomings for the CEO to sort asap

Urgently needed are obviously a new gamekeeper with a CV that would put Wilders to shame, next a trained Landlord come Sommelier, Sirieix is out of range sadly but Scott has a young up and coming lad from Bordeaux lined up, then we are after a Quality French Chef, Paul Bocuse has been mentioned but I don’t believe a bid is being readied at this stage.

Additionally (but without certainty) they are looking for a high quality waitress which procurement has been entrusted with Lady Felicia I believe, to arrange from her extensive networking undertaken at the various bunga bunga parties held at Backscuttle Manor. However, back stop cover may also be needed when the successful candidate will have to subsequently visit the monthly clinics for ongoing treatment. It is possible that we may need an additional loan hitherto not yet considered, anyone know if the chauffeur position vacated from a while back has been filled, this has been kept tight lipped and may never have been properly appointed.
 
I'd have 1, maybe 2 loans at most, and I'd much prefer our starting left back was signed on a permanent.

We're suffering from the fact 40% of our best outfield were loan players last season and we've failed to bring them back.
 
Can't wait for the window to shut these days we don't even get rumour threads we get day dream 'wouldnt it be nice to have these players' efforts.

If Akpom leaves, I’m replacing Forss on the right.. moving him more central, improve the service to bump Coburn up the ladder.

LB Alex Bangura - Cambuur - £

RB Ben Johnson - West Ham
MF Charlie Patino - Arsenal - Loan
LW Facundo Pellistri - Man Utd - Loan
RW Alejandro Garnacho - Man Utd. - Loan
ST Cameron Archer - Aston Villa - Loan

Control, technique and pass completion over everything else.

No it’s not.

Everyone is upset because we haven’t replaced.. our loan players! Specifically the ones we signed in January.

Before that was a failure to recognise £50m of talent from Wilder.

Warnock preferred a broken old pal before short term before a loan deal.

Woodgate played Gestede over Nmecha..

Loans are great.. we’ve loaned some great players.

But.. would you rather we’d signed Connolly? Sporar? Siliki?
 
I keep seeing 'Boro fans genuinely discussing Lewis Hall as a loan option. Are these fans living on cloud cuckoo?

File Lewis Hall alongside Ian Maatsen. Neither will be playing Championship football in the near future.
 
Buy permanent and only take loans that are either cover or an exceptional player that we can't say no to.

Even as cover I'd rather we were signing "development" players.

Maatsen is now firmly part of the Chelsea squad having impressed Poch in pre season 👍
