How will we track our successful vaccine roll out?

Robert Jenner on R4 this morning telling us we will get updates on the vaccine roll out very soon - when the numbers are validated.
Good news
I guess we have a number of options

They just tell us what we want to know - how many have been vaccinated and when the programme is likely to conclude
They tell us we are vaccinating people and it is ‘ramping up’ and we have several trillion on order reminding us we were first to start
They tell us we have the capacity to vaccination everyone and their dog - and we were first to start

Any other ideas?

you can bet your bottom dollar that one person given the Pzfizer vaccination shots will count as 2 vaccinations, I bet, go on bet me?

Could take a while according to this:

This is a huge issue isn’t it?
We have got people worked up into a frenzy that everyone has to be vaccinated.

Every year around 17000 people die in the UK with flu. That number could be reduced with everyone being vaccinated. But we have decided not to do that.

I understand why Pfizer et al want everyone vaccinated.
I understand why the medics would - they are programmed to save lives.

These numbers are not 100% - but not far off so directional.
Over 97% deaths are in the over 65 age group.
Assume 64000 deaths thru Covid - that leaves around 2500 deaths below 65.
If you get to under 45 it leaves around 480 deaths (0.7% in that category)

Assume vaccine is 70% effective (prudent)
Then (using 64000 deaths as the benchmark) - potential deaths drop to 19000.
A number we are ‘happy with’ for flu.

So, where should we draw the line for vaccinations?
65 - leaves 700 vulnerable under that age plus those above who may catch it of course
45 - leaves 140 vulnerable under that age

What age do we draw the line?

In pretty much all other treatment roll outs the BMA use qualiyears as a determining factor as to who gets what. It’s tried and proven, why not for this ?
